SCPG Member Profile: Jason Anderson

CHARTER MEMBER

My main areas of interest are Landscape and Macro Photography. My gear bag is a mixture of Canon and Sigma gear. Currently, it includes the Canon 350D (Rebel XT), kit lens, one telephoto and one macro (Canon 70-200f4.0 and Sigma 70f2.8 macro). The only accessory worth mentioning is a Manfrotto/Bogen tripod and head, as CF cards, lens cloths and and other stuff is pretty commonplace. Another unique thing is my gear "bag" itself. I actually have two bags, one in the form of a Lowepro backback, and another as a Lowepro belt system. If I am walking around in an organized shoot, the belt system is my preference, however I use the backpack when cycling around solo. Oh yeah, I have a few filters too from Hoya, Canon and Moose.
On a more personal note, I live in the Summerville area, and work in Goose Creek at the Naval Weapons Depot. I have been there for the past 6 months on contract as an RFID Network Administrator. Previously I had also worked for the College of Charleston and American LaFrance. When I have free time outside of IT and photography endeavors, I enjoy cycling, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. My IT and photography endeavors keep me very busy though as I do have a sporadic side business performing computer and network services for family, friends, and various small businesses.
